European Guardianship Network

The network

The vision of EGN is to create a network that will be an inclusive and supportive environment which will enable members to contribute to the development of safe, effective and consistent ways of delivering high quality, child rights-based, and accessible guardianship services.

The network will be a welcoming and enabling forum for the development of best practice that will put the rights and best interests of unaccompanied and separated children at the heart of its work thus leading to better outcomes for children and the guardianship services who work with them.

Board
The Foundation is managed by a board. Chairman of the board is Tanno Klijn, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Nidos in the Netherlands. The network consists of both members and partners. Eligible to be admitted as a member of the foundation’s network are institutions that execute the (legal) (family) guardianship of unaccompanied children in Europe. Eligible to be admitted as a partner of the foundation’s network are international organisations and policy making state institutions in the field of (legal) (family) guardianship of unaccompanied children in Europe.
