European Guardianship Network

International Institute for Children’s Development, Poland

International Institute for Children’s Development connects children’s perspectives from and outside Europe through different development projects. In the field of migration the foundation aims at creating a common mission of guardianship in Poland in cooperation with other stakeholders to guard the best interests of unaccompanied migrant minors from the system’s level. Between 2017 and 2019 few meetings were initiated in Poland through EGN to strengthen that process. IIChD serves as an advocacy platform for discussion on the situation in the country, ensuring a child-centered and child-rights based holistic approach. Special consideration will therefore be given to participation of unaccompanied children and former unaccompanied children.
